Taking on the world

The BP/Ford World Rally Team is on the march to retain the Manufacturers’ world title it won last year, as well as mounting a concerted bid for the drivers’ title. In 2006 Ford won the manufacturers’ world championship, and this year the target is to add the drivers’ title to the tally.

Drivers Marcus Grönholm and Mikko Hirvonen are already 2007 World Rally Championship event winners and they are sure to be battling for victories throughout
the season.

Their weapon in this fight is the BP-backed Ford Focus RS World Rally Car. Now in its second year of development, the car is clearly one of the best in the series and the combination of double World Champion Grönholm and his
hungry young Finnish compatriot Hirvonen on the driving squad means the BP/Ford World Rally Team is on target for another successful year.
