Tour improved

Fred Gallagher finds six new venues to challenge competitors

More competitive sections, fewer road miles, and races at four venues are on the finalised schedule for the second running of Tour Britannia in early September.

Clerk of the course Fred Gallagher has come up with six new venues on the route for the race and rally tour for pre-76 cars. Races at Oulton Park (Tuesday), Donington Park (Wednesday), Cadwell Park (Thursday), and Mallory Park (Friday) form the core of the competition, while favourite stages from 2005 including Loton Park and Belvoir Castle remain on the schedule.

Each leg returns to the Coombe Abbey Hotel in Warwickshire, where the rally is based between Tuesday and Friday September 5-8.
