Ernie Graham emerged to take a popular debut win in the fourth round of the Armajaro MSA British Historic Rally Championship.

Graham guided his Escort RS1600 through the dusty mid-Wales stages to win the post-historic division, while Steve Perez (Porsche 911) beat Paul Kynaston’s Sunbeam Tiger by just 1sec for historic glory.

Argentinians Sielecki and Hervas won the Mille Miglia Retro in late May in their Bugatti T23 Brescia, having finished second a year earlier. The Italian Vesco brothers took the runner-up slot in their 1934 Fiat 508S, with another home crew third in the form of Aghem/Conti (Alfa Romeo 6C).

The Formula Junior Mallock U2 of Fyrth Crosse claimed FTD at VSCC Wiscombe Park in May. The nimble, front-engined machine set a pace that was just out of reach of the fastest pre-war car, which was Bruce Spollon’s ERA R8C.
