Ex-champ Rouse is still the tin-top maestro

Former BTCC champion Andy Rouse and Pete Hall dominated the opening three races of the Heritage GT Challenge. Sharing Hall’s Chevrolet Camaro, the pair took sprint race wins at Thruxton and Silverstone, as well as victory in a 65-minute enduro at Silverstone.

Big grids and good racing have made the races popular additions to BTCC events, and at Silverstone former F1 racers Jackie Oliver and Tiff Needell were on the grid in Aston Martin DB4s.

Sharing the car of Tom Alexander, Needell starred by chasing Rouse to the flag in the sprint race. Meanwhile, Oliver has run strongly in the DB4 of Martin Angle and claimed third at Thruxton. PL
