White sees the light before black clouds spread gloom

Torrential rain ruined the Shuttleworth and Nuffield Trophy at the VSCC’s Cadwell Park meet in early June. With the track flooded, the race was halted after four laps and was not restarted. John Ure had been leading in ERA R9B at the time.

Before the rain arrived, Brian White took his Frazer Nash TT Replica to victory in the FN/GN race and the Melville and Geoghegan Trophies race.

The John Holland Trophy fell to Tom Walker’s GN Special, but the Morgan Aero of Stuart Harper was right behind him at the flag. More comfortable was Tom Dark’s Spero and Voiturette win in his MG Q Type. PL
