Sports Rally resuscitation

The sports rally which after a long hibernation was discovered in December 1999, and was found to have nearly completed a JCC Double 12 race, is being quickly restored by Mr N Lupton.

The engine has run for the first time in 50 years. It has been given Phoenix crank and rods for reliability, and the missing bonnet panels and front apron have been remade by the person who did the body for Donald Campbell’s ‘Bluebird’. Otherwise it will be as original as possible and is destined for VSCC racing and a return to Brooklands.
