After seeing the accidents of Gerhard Berger and Derek Warwick, in Ferrari and Lotus respectively, death in Formula I seemed a thing of the past. Unfortunately not.

It will take a long time for the motoring world to come to terms with the absence of Senna from the race track and from this world.

My deepest sympathies to both the families of Senna and Ratzenberger. Their sons paid the ultimate price for the sport they loved most.
