Other happenings recently include dinner with doctor Sir Stephen Miller Bt, grandson of Sir Alastair Miller Bt, who was a well-known Brooklands driver with all manner of cars, including the aero-engined Wolseley Viper. He had started with a Matchless motorcycle in 1912.
Lunch next day was at Moreton-in-the Marsh, where the “wake” for the late Tony Brooke, of 30/98 and Vauxhall-Villiers fame. was held. Many notable VSCC personalities were there, including Keith Schellenberg, Anthony Heal, Patrick Marsh, Julian Ghosh, Peter Hull and Roger Collings (in his Mercedes-Maybach). On the following evening were were invited by Johnny Thomas to the dinner which concluded the Welsh Rally of the Bentley DC.
