Jaguar warranty

Jaguar Cars is extending its former one-year guarantee on all Jaguars and Daimlers to a three-year, 60,000-mile warranty. They claim to be the first major UK car manufacturer to take this step, which includes a six-year corrosion warranty. It is many years ago since I did a piece for Motor Sport on car warranties, which varied from make to make, but the one best remembered is the vintage Bentley five-year guarantee. Long warranties show confidence in a car but can also be a heavy financial burden should an excess number of claims be laid.
