Bugatti request

May ask readers who competed or spectated at Brooklands and other motoring events in the period 1929-39 (but especially around 1929-31) recast their minds back to the paddock scenes at those events, and refer to any photographs they may have?

My Type 44 Bugatti was bodied by Weymann and delivered new to Malcolm Campbell, who was Bugatti racing car concessionaire at the time. It was registered UV 7760. The four-door saloon body was in black, with a red interior.

It would be wonderful if someone could recall who owned it. An additional bonus would be a photograph, even UV 7760 was only acting as background for something mote interesting! I would pay for any copies. That the car survives at all is a stroke of luck: it was the only T 44 to be bodied as a saloon by Weymann (in England). The body number is 384. If there are any surviving cars with Weymann saloon bodies from the same period (eg Bentley, Sunbeam or Delage) I would b very grateful for the opportunity to examine one. It would help me considerably in the restoration of the T 44’s body.
