At last
Sir,
Having always admired from afar the erudite comments made by readers about the mechanical, and indeed historical. disputes that occasionally enliven the pages of our favourite motoring magazine, I have longed for the opportunity to join their illustratious ranks.
However, such is the stuff of life most articles are so far above my head it takes all my time just absorbing their information, let alone disputing their accuracy.
But has my big moment arrived? In the delightful article about the Bristol 450, many ex-children will indeed remember the shape of the 450, but it was a Dinky model number 163, resplendent in BAG with race number 27. My one owner model sits in front of me now, original, high mileage, and scratched! I always wanted a real one.
