In California vehicles such as racing cars, dragsters, go-karts, competition motorcycles and so on, which are not used on the public highway, have to be registered, which costs 15 dollars, and display 2.1/2 in x 4 in. registration stickers. Even engine changes in competition have to be reported to the Department of Motor Vehicles. Although it is illegal to so much as tow an unlicensed and uninsured vehicle on British roads, we are not obliged to register any vehicle which is used on private ground or on a race circuit and it seems that a strong stand should be taken against any change in the Law by those who may be contemplating copying Big Brother in California.
