:4 _ R. VICTOR HALLIWELL, who lost his life with Sir Henry Segrave in the accident which

befell ‘Miss England II.”, was chief experimental tester in the aero engine department of RollsRoyce, Ltd.

A graduate of Bristol University, he had served with the Rolls concern for a considerable time, and was sent by the Company to Windermere in order to test the engines of ‘Miss England IL’ and to advise Sir Henry regarding them.
