Porsche to star in Race Retro

The key feature of the 2012 edition of Race Retro, the International Historic Motorsport Show, will be a celebration of the 30-year history of the Porsche 956 Group C car.

Porsche will be the featured marque at the February 24-26 show, with displays focusing on the Porsche 956 and its 962 derivative. Famous race cars will be on show inside the halls at Stoneleigh Park, near Coventry, and the Porsche theme will carry over into the live action rally stage.

Guest appearances by original members of the Porsche works team are planned to mark 30 years since the debut of the 956 in the Silverstone Six Hours in May 1982.
