Gallic flair at London-Brighton

This year’s London to Brighton Veteran Car Run paid homage to the many early French cars that always star in this event.

Participants lined up in London’s Regent Street prior to the 60-mile run from Hyde Park to Brighton, with some spectators even in period costumes. Bonhams’ Bond Street Veteran Car Run sale was followed by a cocktail reception, before the run started on Sunday morning.

Competitors included Red Bull’s Adrian Newey and Jochen Mass. First to arrive at Madeira Drive in Brighton was the 1900 Napier driven by Christopher Thomas.
