Cartier discovers some gems in india

The latest setting for Cartier’s Concours d’Elegance was the Royal Western India Turf Club in Mumbai, where Cartier unveiled its inaugural Travel with Style, commemorating India’s automobile heritage.

At this exclusive and unique event, the owners of heritage automobiles – Maharajas and other royalty, as well as private collectors – displayed their cars in public.

Master of ceremonies Alain de Cadenet announced the final winners which were judged by, among others, Prince Michael of Kent, Imran Khan, Nick Mason, Yasmin Le Bon, car designer Peter Stevens, Gordon Murray and classic car dealer Simon Kidston.

The collection included a 1936 Daimler V12 and a 1949 Bentley Mark VI tourer specially built for the Maharaja of Mysore. The best of show winner was a 1939 Delahaye 135MS owned by Maharaj Duleep Singhji of Jodhpur.
