The first International Historic Motorsport Show will be held at Stoneleigh Park near Coventry from February 20-22. Over 300 exhibitors and 200 classic and historic competition cars are pledged for the event. Many race and rally series will be represented, with Friday restricted to trade and competitors only.

A stone-and-bronze memorial showing Raymond Mays flanked by an ERA and a BRM was recently unveiled in the town of Boume, the driver and constructor’s home.

The future of the Jarama circuit, a Spanish Grand Prix venue between 1968 and ’81, is under threat The Royal Automobile Club of Spain is working to bring the F1 race back to the Madrid region, and proposes to scrap the circuit built in ’67 and start afresh. Current plans are to sell off the existing land and building a new facility.
