Mountain Morgans

I enjoyed reading the history of Pike’s Peak in MOTOR SPORT (October 1992). I have been wondering for some time whether Morgan sports-cars ( + 4 or 4/4) ever attempted this fascinating event in the 1950s and ’60s. Could anyone advise me on this, or perhaps suggest who might know? Is there a source of photographs of this event?
