• * The Buckingham

Sir,

According to myinformation, Mr. Hall is correct in stating that only single and yee-twin air-cooled engines of 746 c.c. and 1,095 c.c. were available for the post-war model of the Buckingham cyclecar. Manufacture was undertaken by T. G. John Ltd. (bonded in 1919), together with that of the Alvis to/30, the design for which had been purchased from G. P. H. de Freville, and the Hillman ” Electra ” stationary engine.

As far as I can ascertain about 250 Buckingharns were built during 1921/22 but information is very scanty and I should like to hear from anyone who can add to it—or early Alvis history.
