Formula 1 technical analysis 2005/2006
Giorgio Piola
Giorgio Piola’s latest work is a compilation of his technical illustrations, mainly from the 2005 season. He examines regulation treatments and engine designs, steering wheels, pedal layouts and suspension. He doesn’t shy away from controversy – Renault’s mass damper and BAR’s fuel tank are tackled. The bulk of the book is made up by chapters for each team, examining the cars’ evolution through the season. Piola’s illustrations are glorious, demonstrating the complex nature of the cars with clarity and beauty. What we would like now, Giorgio, is a book that charts the technical evolution of one marque’s F1 cars though the years. RR
