Lesser-spotted Legends

Good to see Nigel Roebuck choose McLaren’s Jo Ramirez as one of his motor racing legends’. It’s all too easy to fall into the trap of perpetuating F1’s cult of personality and praising the driver without looking at those behind the scenes. In a world of big budgets and even bigger egos it always seemed to me that people like Ramirez remain a very human face of an increasingly impersonal sport.
