Testimonial

Sir,

As a result of your kindly mentioning my Sunbeam enquiry in V-E-V Miscellany in the November issue, the present owner of GO 7828 has written to me from Cambridge, and all is well.

Long live Motor Sport! There’s nothing remotely like it — anywhere.

Alfa Romeo

Sir,

Your exccellent article on the Alfa Romeos of Peter Agg has not only rekindled my memory but it has also prompted me to write to you. In 1951 my late father purchased the ex Guy Templar 1932 2.6 Monza engined Mille Miglia Alfa Romeo. I think the registration was DLH 304. As a schoolboy at prep school this motor car caused the height of excitement, the whine of the superchargers being heard long before the car was in view. The car was looked after by an ex-Ferrari mechanic in a small garage in Sussex. This gentleman was, I believe, a POW in England and remained here after the war. When times were not so good the car was unfortunately sold to the USA. I would be very interested in knowing the car’s full history and where it is now as it brings back many fond memories.
