Warming up

The coming Season of Grand Prix racing is in too fluid a state to predict exciting racing or a flop but on the face of it interest is intensified by seeing how the new March shapes up to competition from established cars and whether it looks like taking Stewart to another World Championship, whether Ferrari fortunes will change with the advent of their new flat-12 engine, how the Matra all-French V12 will fare and how Hill will serve the Rob Walker interests.

Also, how the monocoque Brabham will perform and whether Lotus, the BRM V12 or Honda will make a comeback. Some of the answers will come after the South African GP on March 7th, and those who cannot go so far afield will be able to see all or some of the new F1 cars in action at Brands Hatch in the Race of Champions on March 22nd.
