The quality of quietness

Sir,

Having read the comrnents “Ford versus Rolls-Royce” in the December issue, I would like to suggest to “the three of the world’s greatest acoustics experts” (and Ford’s, too, for that matter) that they should once again test the respective models after they have covered 30,000 miles, in normal use.

Although I have never subscribed to the view that Rolls-Royce is the “best” car in the world, it is certainly the quietest.

Loath to use superlatives, yet I must say that I think your magazine is certainly the best.
