A G.N. Revival ?

WITH reference to your mention in last month’s issue of Mr. Davenport’s new car for Shelsley, you may be interested to know that I have acquired one of the other Akela engines which I intend to use during the coining season.

I acquired it from Mr. Dempster, who in turn had it from Mr. Ringwood. Prior to that, I believe it was raced by Mr. Pickett in the 1926 Grand Prix at Boulogne when it was driven by Rogers. The engine is in first-class condition throughout, and should still be capable of giving a very good account of itself. I am fitting it in a standard G.N. chassis with a 2-seater Vitesse body.

Best wishes to your paper, but why don’t you bring it out twice a month, or even more often ? H. G. Smith. London,
