British drivers’ skills through tarmac stages at home. Since a spectator was injured at Kop Hill in 1925 it’s required an Act of Parliament to close a road for motor sport so such events are limited. I love the thought of more Isle of Man-style tarmac action and they may be right about the cash boost, but I’m dubious about the suggestion that this would offer “a platform for messages of appropriate driving”…
