Street fight renewed

Vila Real promoter Francisco Santos is planning a major historic race meeting on the street circuit in the north of Portugal in 2008, after racing returned in a successful national meeting this October.
Santos and his company, Talento Ltd, aim to expand to a full programme in 2008 with races for Formula Junior, Formula 2, Sports and GT cars of the ’60s, 2-litre sports and saloon cars and Portuguese Classic and Historic series. The circuit has been kept as close to the old one as possible, although it has been shortened from 4.7 to 2.9 miles.
