Edwin Jowsey bagged another FJ victory as the season ended at Donington. The 2003 champion had to fend off a challenge from Robin Longdon’s Lola Mk5A, but the damp chicane sent the Lola into a spin and left Jowsey’s Lotus 22 safe.

Philip Walker dominated the BRDC Historic Sportscar race at the Silverstone Winter Warmer meet in November. His Lotus 15 started from pole and was never headed, but was pressed by Tony Bianchi, who wrestled the Farrellac Allard to second place. Adrian van der Kroft’s Cooper ran third, but soon fell behind the Lotus XI of Neil Davies — until John Pearson Jnr passed both in the family Lister-Jaguar.
