VSCC race calendar is unveiled

The Vintage Sports-Car Club has confirmed its calendar for 2004, its 70th anniversary season.

From a packed programme of 30 competitive events, five race meetings will be held starting at Silverstone on April 17. The club then joins forces with the Historic Sports Car Club to promote a major two-day vintage and historic festival at Silverstone over the weekend of June 5-6.

Its other race meetings will be held at Cadwell Park (June 13), Mallory Park (July 25) and the two-day Ferrari Festival meeting at Donington Park (September 12-13).

A new venture, a members’ track day, will be held at Donington Park on Wednesday March 31. As well as giving racers a pre-season shakedown, it is hoped this will tempt some members onto the track for the first time.
