In Support of Schumacher

I am writing to say how pleased I was to see the anti-jingoistic bit in your October Editorial. Yes, I agree – Schumacher was born in the wrong place to receive English warmth and respect. I’m sick of it – all this ‘Stuff the Krauts’ stuff ought, really, to be illegal. Basically it’s racism. I’m studying 20th Century history and the anti-German thing is nothing new, but it’s about time it faded away.
