Beware The Black Flag

Sir,

After marvelling at and enjoying, as a spectator, Lord March’s Goodwood Revival Meeting celebrating the Spirit of Goodwood, I was disappointed to see that the Spirit of Goodwood did not extend to some of the younger drivers.

Ignoring a black flag while part of the cowling was unattached, thus endangering other drivers and possibly some spectators if this had come off. Even Herr Schumacher couldn’t get away with ignoring the black flag!

Where has the respect for these wonderful cars and driving skills gone?
