Training lectures will take place at the usual London venue — “The Clarence” in Whitehall. The first was held on November 18th ,when the duties discussed were Course Clearing, Gate, Paddock, Start-line and Pits. On December 9th it will be Medical and Fire duties, February 17th will be Flags and observing, and March 16th will be a talk on the whole structure of race organisation. On April 20th the interesting subject of Scrutineering will be dealt with. A number of very well-known motor-racing personalities are this year’s lecturers.

The Southern Region hold their biggest ever social occasion on Thursday, January 21st, 1960, when they invite all the Club members and friends to join them at London’s Safari Club, in Northumberland Avenue, W.C.2. to see a selection of new motoring films and to enjoy an extensive buffet supper. A bar will of course be available and tickets, price 12s. 6d., are obtainable from Secretary Douglas Standley, 24, Hersham Road, Walton-on-Thames, Surrey.
