The S.M.M.T. and the Vanwall

It is generally conceded that in not requesting a Vanwall G.P. car for exhibition at the Earls Court Motor Show the S.M.M.T. did the Wrong Thing. Mike Hawthorn, in his speech at the R.A.C. after the presentation made to him to commemorate his World Championship, thought so and so did Bob Gibson-Jarvie in his speech at the United Dominions Trust luncheon at Earls Court on the last day but one of the Motor Show.
