It was a pathetic news item in the Evening Standard last month which reported that Vera Fusek, the 26-year-old stage and T.V. star broke down and wept in an Eastbourne police court when the police told her that her 1932 Austin Seven, which had cost her £15, was in a dangerous condition. She was fined £5. Miss Fusek is reported to have said “I love that car very dearly and had no idea it was in such bad shape.” This would seem to be a golden opportunity for some Good Samaritan from the 750 M.C. to help Miss Fusek put her Austin Seven into better trim!
