We join all followers of motor racing in mourning the passing of young Stuart Lewis-Evans, who. from successes in 500-c.c. racing, earned his place in the Vanwall team, in which he was a truly courageous driver. He died as a result of burns received in an accident at Casablanca. Stuart came from a motor racing family, his father enjoying alike 500-c.c. racing and driving his ancient Benz in the Veteran Car Run. To this family and all the young driver’s many friends and admirers goes the assurance that the memory of Lewis-Evans will live on in the annals of the game he loved above all other pursuits.
