TYRE PROBLEM The tyre shortage is becoming acute, and so thoi e who are in the habit of fitting part-worn or shop-soiled tyres to their cars are advised to take advantage of any and every opportunity that arises of purchasing such tyres in the size they use. Popular size., are already almost non-existent, but occasionally a garage will tow in a wrecked car from which the tyres have not been removed, and then it is the observant who benefit. New tyres are available, of course, but even

these may become scarce, and in any case they cost upwards of three times as much as shop-soiled covers. The Dunlop Rubber Co. is producing to full capacity, but a large proportion of its output must necessarily go to equip the fighting forces.
