For the first time in history all three Morgan SLRs raced together, in the GT and Sports Car Cup at Silverstone in May. Morgan enthusiasts Keith Ahlers, John Emberson and Simon Orebi-Gann now own the three cars from the early 1960s.

The SLR was a special-bodied GT racer with an aerodynamic body mated to a Morgan Plus 4 chassis. Chris Lawrence and John Sprinzel built the cars, with the SLR tag coming from Sprinzel LawrenceTune Racing. A fourth SLR was built in the ’60s around a Triumph TR chassis.

The car now owned by Emberson has recently returned to the UK after 20 years in California.
