Oulton Park’s 50th anniversary will be celebrated at the Gold Cup meeting on August 24/25. The first race at the Cheshire track was held on August 8, 1953.

More than 400 entries are expected for the event, which will be headlined by a race for the FORCE Classic Grand Prix cars. This encounter will recreate the circuit’s heyday when its Gold Cup non-championship Formula One race was a seasonal highlight. The last F1 race winner here was Denny Hulme in 1972 in a McLaren M19A.

Other notable events at the Gold Cup Revival will be races for the HGPCA and a round of the BRDC Historic Sports Car Championship.

To mark the 50th year, all race winners at this HSCC-organised meeting will be presented with a ‘Gold Cup’.

Four-time Gold Cup-winner Sir Jack Brabham is just one of a number of famous names from the circuit’s glorious past planning to attend.
