ERA R7B has returned to racing following a total rebuild and several years out of action.

The ex-Arthur Dobson machine is being campaigned by new owner Paul Mullins. It has undergone a nut-and-bolt rebuild by Simon Bish at GTO Engineering, under the direction of Tony Merrick, and has been put back into its 1938 trim, a year when Dobson scored a third place in the Modena Grand Prix and a fine sixth in the Donington Grand Prix behind the all-conquering Mercedes-Benz and Auto Union teams.

After the war R7B was raced for a couple of years by Leslie Brooke and then regularly by Dudley Gahagan for several decades.

Also out and about again is R6B. This ex-Dudley Benjafield car has been bought by American Ian Landy, who had his first drive of it at the recent VSCC meeting at Donington Park. The car is now expected to reside in the States.
