Series leader Fredy Kumschick and Joaquin Folch took Thoroughbred Grand Prix victories in June.

When Folch’s Williams FW08 hit gearbox dramas at the Nürburgring, Kumschick went clear in his FW07.

However, Folch got his revenge at the A1-Ring just two weeks later by scoring a victory over Richard Eyre (FW08), with Kumschick back in fourth place behind Christian Glasel’s Brabham BT49.

Kumschick still leads the series, from class winners Mike Whatley (Ensign N175) and Mike Wrigley (Tyrrell 012), ahead of round six at Donington Park in August
