German McLaren M6B racer Wido Roessler won both Orwell Supersports races over at the Nürburgring in June. Peter Hoffman (McLaren M8F) and John Burton (Chevron B26) led the chase, as Geoff Farmer (March 717) could only net third and fourth places.

Philip Walker’s Lotus 15 won the June round of the BRDC Historic Sports Car Championship at Silverstone, but only after Nick Linney (Lister Jaguar) and John Harper (Cooper Monaco) tangled during a mighty lead battle.

Simon Allen claimed The St John Horsfall Trophy at the AMOC Silverstone meeting. His Third Series headed Simon Baldwin’s Le Mans after an entertaining dice.
