Irvine for Belfast

Jaguar Racing’s Formula 1 pilot Eddie Irvine has confirmed his intention to compete in the Belfast City Open+Direct Millennium Motorsport Festival on Monday 28 August, the day after the Belgian Grand Prix.

The event will celebrate the marque’s participation in the Tourist Trophy races at Dundrod, and Conlig-born Irvine will drive a Jaguar sportscar on the hillclimb course at Stormont Castle.

Sir Stirling Moss, John Watson and David Kennedy are also on the starstudded entry list for Alan Tyndall’s Ulster Cancer Foundation charity event.
