What is it?
Sir,
The grandfather of a friend of mine was a Mr EW Hill of The Elms, Wembdon, nr Bridgwater, Somerset.
I enclose a photograph of his car, taken in 1914. It is believed that the vehicle was bought new in 1911, for £800. The manufacturer sent a mechanic down for a week to give instructions on use and maintenance. It is thought that this was the first car in Bridgwater.
Can anyone shed any light on the make and the history of the vehicle, or its distinctive registration, Y5?
