European saloon car championship for Snetterton

The British round of the European Saloon Car Championship is to be held over a distance of 500 kilometres at Snetterton Circuit, Norfolk, on August 15th. The Saloon Car Championship race, organised by the British Racing and Sports Car Club, will feature 36 British and Continental saloon cars racing by day and night in six engine-capacity classes. The cars, which are each expected to make at least one pit stop for fuel and tyres, will race from 6 p.m. until about to 10 p.m., including about an hour in darkness. The winner will have to cover 114 laps of the 2.71 mile Norfolk Circuit. The rest of the day’s racing programme will start at 2.45 p.m.
