After wearing out the standard equipment C.41 tyres on a Mini, I was advised by my local tyre company to fit Pirelli Extraflex. I duly had them fitted to the front to try before purchasing a set. Finding the road holding poor in the wet, I rang Pirelli and on three different occasions was quoted different pressures; 16, 18 and 24, and finally, quote, “‘Try 26 lb.”

As I was extremely worried about wear on the edges of the tread and possible wall damage caused by the low pressures, I have written twice to Pirelli and had no reply at all. Needless to say it’s C.41s for me from now on.
