A Case of Mistaken Identity or The Quiz Defeates the Quizzer
Dear Sir.
Twice in my life I have been so much under the influence of alcohol that I cannot remember what I was doing, with the exception that I was on both occasions in the company of F. W. Dixon. In neither case, however, do I think it likely that I was doing what is alleged in your “Recognise Him?” picture in June.
I ask myself, why does Mr. C. Mann think this is me? Even more important, why does the Editor of Motor Sport think it is me?
My wife does not, nor any of my acquaintances, nor, for that matter, does. Yours sincerely,
“Pom.”
