SUSA—MONT CENIS HILL-CLIMB
A more arduous event was the one run on July 19th up the Mont Cenis mountain pass, on the Italian side, from Susa to the top. This pass, while being one of the easier routes into Italy. and very popular with racing-team lorries and mechanics, is novertheless full of interest when raring up it. Open to touring, sports and raring classes, the entry attracted Castellotti and Bracco with works 3-litre Ferrari coupes, Stuck with the six-cylinder A.F.M.. and Maglioli o it It the 21-litre Formula car that Farina used to win the recent Rouen race, amongst the usual collection of highly tuned and interesting special sports ears run by Italian amateurs, and out-of-date Grand Prix ears.
