THE MARNE G.P. DE TOURISME
THE MARNE G.P. DE TOURISME
IN the interval between the heats and the final of the Grand Prix, a race for touring cars was held on the Reims circuit. There were only eleven starters in the three categories, and the race could hardly be called an exciting one. The distance they had to cover was 28 laps, or 195 km. 650. Perrot’s Delahaye was obviously the fastest car in the race, but for some time he was pursued by Trevoux’s Bugatti, which was running in different class. Per
rot increased his, speed as the race went on, no doubt benefiting by practice, and he finally established a sports-car lap record in 3111. 29.95., a very fine performance. He was an easy winner of both the general classification and the s-litre class. Tr& voux won the 3-litre and Cordini (Fiat) the 1,9)o c.c. classes.
