The Automobile Association asks us to specially point out to those intending to visit France for the many sporting motoring events that are now taking place in that country, the necessity for reserving rooms in advance at hotels, especially when the events are held in or near the big towns and tourist centres.

Reports indicate that the number of people moving about in France just now is unprecedented, and that visitors who neglect this precaution are often turned away for want of accommodation. Most of the travellers are stopping for one night only, so that a motorist going to the various competitions by road, can usually secure rooms for the night by wiring or telephoning the day before, or even on the morning of the same day.
