Clermont retro festival
The famous Clermont-Ferrand road circuit at Charade, once home to the French Grand Prix, will be celebrated in demonstration runs over the weekend of June 21/22.
The Take Action for Charade movement works to maintain the history of the spectacular track and plans to re-unite drivers and riders with the machines they raced there in period.
As well as parade laps, there will be static displays and exhibitions.
The five-mile road course was first used in 1958 and was closed to racing in 1989, following the creation of a 2.5-mile permanent track. The
French Grand Prix took place at the Auvergne venue on four occasions, between 1965 and 1972.
